I have been using and evaluating the Perfect Email System for some time and I must say, I am impressed with it. Before I write about it, if you are not a fan of Microsoft like most of my friends are; you might not like it!
If you are one of those people, I suggest you move on
Part I
Unfortunately, the perfect Email system does cost a bit of money (Around $7 For Domain)…In my opinion it’s worth it. The Perfect Email System will have the following…
- E-mail Address - Anything of your choice. i.e. you@yourdomain.com
- Create an unlimited number of accounts in your domain. One for yourself, one for someone else etc…
- Web access to your E-Mail with Hotmail / LiveMail http://ideas.live.com/ Interface
- 2GB of storage Per Account.
- Integrated MSN Messenger - E-mail addresses at your domain can also be used for instant messaging and other services on the MSN and Windows Live network. You can do a LOT of contact maintenances with Windows Live Messenger alone!

To get that, all you need is just a domain name and Access to your Domain’s DNS MX entry.
You can get a domain for under $7 USD at www.godaddy.com which will provide you with total DNS Control Free of charge.

Part II
Unfortunately, the above won’t be classed as a Perfect Email System unless you also have a Client Access. I.e. Access the email via Outlook Live 2003. And it does cost a bit…
There are two Options
- Hotmail Plus - http://join.msn.com/hotmailplus/overview-std (cheaper, mail access only)
- Outlook Live - http://join.msn.com/outlook/overview-std (bit expensive; mail, calender, contacts access)
You will have more flexibility using Outlook live.
For example, You can download your mails to the Outlook (it doesn’t physically download the mail, it uses IMAP protocol which means the mails on your account is synchronized with your client. Which means, you can still see the mails on both Web-Based and on the E-mail Client (Outlook Live).
You can access it plan your schedule on Outlook Live Calendar, Manage your contacts on Outlook Live Contacts and all of them will be synchronized with your account. And when you login to you Hotmail / Live Mail account via web interface, all of the changes you’ve made on Outlook Live will be there!
That’s is what I call a Perfect Email System
